Food and Beverage Policies
When organizing an event, there may be times when you need to provide meals for staff or offer drinks to guests. This post will guide you through the food and beverage rules at Albe Hall Nagoya.
Please note that Albe Hall Nagoya is not available for parties, social gatherings, DJ events, or music events.
Meals
This section covers meal provisions at Albe Hall Nagoya.
Firstly, there is no issue with staff eating lunch or having bento boxes during exhibitions or pop-up events. We have refrigerators and microwaves available in the staff room for your convenience.
A common question we receive is whether it is permissible to provide food to customers as part of the exhibition or pop-up event. While we do not have any specific restrictions on providing food, please inform us of your plans at the time of booking. Additionally, please be aware of the following:
– Albe Hall Nagoya does not hold a food establishment permit with the health department. If you plan to provide food, the event organizers must apply for approval from the health department.
– We are not responsible for any food-related issues (such as food poisoning) that may occur within the venue, so please review and confirm this in advance.
– If you plan to cook within the venue, you must notify us. In the past, there have been incidents where frying equipment caused fire alarms to trigger, or too many hotplates were used, resulting in power outages. Such occurrences can happen again, so we kindly ask that you notify us beforehand.
Beverages
While beverages overlap with meals, we ask that you confirm the following points:
– Staff are free to drink beverages during the event. Also, it is fine to offer tea or other drinks to participants at meetings, seminars, or other events.
– Be aware of the following beverage-related rules:
– Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. This applies to staff, event personnel, and guests—both for consumption and for bringing in. If alcoholic beverages are discovered, your event may be interrupted, so please be mindful.
– If you are providing coffee or other drinks to guests, you must apply for approval from the health department, just as with food. We also disclaim responsibility for any incidents (such as food poisoning) that may occur during the event.
